Robbie McIntosh
Robbie McIntosh is one of the most sought after session and touring musicians on the planet and in his career has played with the likes of Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Annie Lennox, The Pretenders, and John Mayer just to name a few.
Robbie McIntosh became a Jackson Ampworks endorser in November of 2009 and is exclusively using two Jackson Ampworks Britain 3.0′s along with two Jackson Ampworks 2×12-OS cabinets during the John Mayer 2009 Battle Studies world tour!
When Robbie was in Dallas during the John Mayer Summer Tour he was kind enough to join us in a local studio and record a few videos for. These videos feature Robbie with the Britain 3.0 and no effects of any kind. Just the man, a guitar and the amp. Enjoy!
Read what Robbie McIntosh has to say about the Jackson Ampworks Britain.
“In my career so far I have worked with many artists. I have worked as a band member with The Pretenders, Paul McCartney, John Mayer, Norah Jones, Mark Knopfler and as a session player with Tears for Fears, Tori Amos, Talk Talk and Joe Cocker to name just a few. I have used Marshall, Fender, Selmer, Vox and Matchless amps over the years and as much as I love the “old stuff” with Jackson Ampworks I have found an amp with the tone that I’ve been looking for. Clarity with warmth. Headroom but great distortion if I need it. I can really hear the character of every guitar I play through it too. Great tone and great versatility. I’m very happy to be using a Jackson Ampworks amplifier.”

Justin Weaver
Our good friend and Nashville session musician Justin Weaver has played on numerous albums in Nashville and is currently on tour with Grammy Award winner and Country Music Star Joe Nichols. Justin has been on tour with Joe Nichols and using a Jackson Ampworks Britain all across the country. We were fortunate enough to catch up with Justin and the rest of the Joe Nichols band when they came to Fort Worth a few months ago and during that time we were able to spend a few hours in the studio to record these demos. Hope you enjoy!
“I had a chance to meet up with Brad Jackson since he is local to Dallas/Ft. Worth at his shop. I often say that if an amp does not hit my sweet spot within 5 notes or 2 chords it is not the amp for me. I have spent too many years tweaking amps to try and make them work.
I plugged into Brad’s new Britain 2.0 and was genuinely impressed from the first chord strum. It truly had a unique player/amp connection and did the Voxy thing in a very inspiring way. Great design in that it is extremely portable and internally is the best build I have ever seen in an amp.
I put in my order that day!! Besides if Robbie McIntosh is playing them say no more!!!
Thanks Brad!”

“Your amp comes so very close to the Dumble…as close as I have ever heard.”
Allen Hinds
“I’ve played on countless amps in different studios and venues always searching to find “the sound” in my head. The Britian is the first amp that IS what I hear, and is what guitar tone should sound like.”
Justin Loose
“The only amp I have ever played that returns the favor when you turn it on.”
