| Features and Construction |
Built to the exact specifications of a Vintage 1968 4x12 cabinet that was torn down and blueprinted, the Jackson Ampworks series of 4x12 cabinets offer the same vintage tone as the legendary cabinets they were modeled after. |
Jackson Ampworks wires its cabinets exclusively with HUGE 12AWG WIRE. This super heavy duty wire guarantees that your tone is best transferred to the speakers with minimal losses. The heavier the speaker wire, the less resistance, and the less resistance, the more your tone reaches the cabinet and therefore your audience.
In addition to our standard STAINLESS STEEL SERIAL NUMBER PLATE, Jackson Ampworks uses genuine Switchcraft jacks in all of its products and our speaker cabinets are no exception. The 12AWG wire that is used to wire our cabinets is connect to a "fast on" type of connector and then soldered directly to the Switchcraft Jack in order to guarantee a solid electrical as well as mechanical connection. |
The back panel of the Jackson Ampworks 4x12 Cabinet is fully sealed to guarantee a very tight and punchy tone with excellent projection and dynamics. By sealing the back panel of the amplifier, the sound waves coming from the speaker are forced out the front of the cabinet which allows for a more focused and controllable tone. |
All loose wires that bridge from speaker terminal to speaker terminal
have been secured to either the cabinet itself, or as seen here, the speaker frame itself. Taking the extra time to secure these wires not
only protects the electrical connection from becoming fatigued over
time, it also prevents audible vibrations and buzzes from occurring when
playing.
Jackson Ampworks exclusively wires its cabinets with 12AWG wire that is connected to a "fast on" type of connector and then this connector is soldered directly to the speaker terminal. This is a very time consuming process, but the extra time and expense is worth the adding reliability that comes from this road worthy process. |
Jackson Ampworks mounts its speakers in its Speaker Cabinets using #10-32 screws and double-toothed lockwashers. This double-toothed lockwasher grips the speaker frame on the inside of the washer as well as the outside, thus preventing any loosening of the mounting screws which can lead to rattles and buzzes in cabinets over time. |
The EMBLEM for each Jackson Ampworks Amplifier and Speaker Cabinet is Die Cast, Chrome Plated and then Clear Coated to guarantee a lifetime of exceptional durability and appearance. |
In this interior view of the Jackson Ampworks 4x12 Straight Front Cabinet, the STEEL HANDLES can easily be seen. These steel handles are not only rugged, but their comfortable design allows for greatest ease when transporting.
Note the corner braces that are used to enhance the structural integrity of the Speaker Cabinet. Also, like the Vintage 4x12 Speaker Cabinets, Jackson Ampworks uses a solid wood center post to support the center of the back panel. |
