Man did ya’ll see that video of Ashlee getting boo-ed at the football game? That was great! Her daddy needs to give up on her and save up for her future rehab bills. Was that a bit harsh? Maybe so, but she seems like a Behind The Music episode waiting to happen… except they would call it Behind The Pro Tools Rig. Anyway good times.

Well today I finished the design of the relay PCB and sent it off to be made. With any luck it will be free of errors and work the first time.

Well I have spent a great deal of yesterday and today designing a circuit board for the Atlantic amplifier. This amplifier has a gain switch on the back of it that is footswitch controllable. Also, because this is a selectable feature, I have opted to have LED’s on the back panel and footswitch that indicate the currently selected position.

Well how was your New Years? Mine was nothing to write home about. We did a New Years show at the Grapevine Opry and it was strange because we did every song EXCEPT for Auld Langs Sign (by the way how do you spell the name of that song?) I really didn’t do anything to celebrate, just sat home and watched the ball drop. Afterward I stepped outside my home to listen to the drunks yell and burn themselves with fireworks. It was a special time – just standing in the cold damp grass freezing my keister off and listening to the mating call of the Great North American White Trash. Ahhh good times.

I know I’ve haven’t written in a while, but I’ve been very busy. I’ve been working on a redesign of the web site, because the more I got into things, the more displeased I was with the overall appearance and speed of the old site. After many nights of work, the shell of the new site is almost done. I have the basic frame for all the pages that I have created; now I just need to load the pages with content and create the pages for each individual section.

Well today was a very long rehearsal at the Grapevine Opry. Downbeat for the first rehearsal started at 12:00 and we played for 2.5 hours broke and then started our rehearsal for the show that night. The first rehearsal was for an Elvis show later this week. Considering that we played 30 songs for the first rehearsal, 30 songs for the second rehearsal and then 30 songs for the show tonight, in all we played over 100 songs considering that some had to be repeated for clarification. Phew!
